Ronald Tree Nursery School

Nursery to open to more children from Monday 1 June

The school has written to all parents to explain that limits on the number of children in each room means that the school has had to prioritise those children who will go into Reception in primary school in September.

As well as supporting all our children and families through Tapestry, the school has been open to vulnerable children and the children of keyworkers throughout the lockdown.
From next week we will be open to more children, and we have written to all our parents to make sure they know what is happening.

There are limits on the number of children we can have safely in each room, so we have had to follow government guidelines and prioritise those children who are leaving us to start in primary school in September. Many parents of this age group have decided not to send their children back; and that is perfectly fine. Please be assured that we will continue to offer activities and support on Tapestry for all our children who remain safely at home.

Those who are returning will see significant changes in routines and we have sent you a booklet with your letter to show and discuss with your child now. It is important you do this so your child knows what to expect when they come to nursery. We are staggering the re-introduction of children next week so that the children can get used to the new routines. So, if your child is coming back, please make sure you come on the right day, arrive at the appointed time and queue up with your child in the marked out spaces on the playground. You can access the playground from the carpark only and we will be operating a one way system; there will be no access into the site from the Laburnum Crescent gate.

Parents will not be allowed into the building. To make sure the dropping off and collection times run as quickly and smoothly as possible, please leave your child with the member of staff at the door and leave by the nearest gate. If you do have questions or need to talk to us about your child, please telephone 01536-514240 rather than talking to staff on the door. Thank you.
